![]() ![]() Below is a list of repairs that can be performed. The second is a complete overhaul of the cylinder head. This repair is simply for customers who have a head gasket leak and want to insure their head is not cracked. The valves are not removed from the head and the springs are not checked for tension. A cup of coffee (not beer), a 10-oz ball pein hammer, an 8' long drift, and three whacks (glorified taps, actually) and I had a swirl chamber lying on the ground. The first is a “steam, clean and test” this insures that the valves hold a vacuum, the tubes don’t leak and the cylinder head is not cracked. Getting those chamber inserts out is NO PROBLEM. The diesel engine was mostly naturally aspirated up until. Most diesel engines have a ratio of 14:1 to 25:1. The fuel injector or atomiser is the last component the diesel fuel passes through before entering. The injectors in your engine are specially selected to provide the best combination of performance and fuel burn to meet the emission standards in your region. ![]() Diesel engines have a higher compression ratio than gas engines. Fuel injectors spray a specific amount of atomised fuel into the combustion chamber. All cylinder heads can be cleaned, pressure checked, and magnafluxed to check for cracks. Diesel engines use compression ignition, a process by which fuel is injected into the cylinder after the air in the cylinder is compressed causing the fuel to self-ignite. Republic Diesel performs work on cylinder heads of all major engine manufactures including Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit, Mack and Navistar for the mining, hauling, industrial or gas markets.
